Such a fun course! So well organized, too! Maybe the instructors will give more online courses in the future?????????

I created an account with Google Reader and I subscribed to all the RSS feeds listed on the wiki. I also subscribed to my own blog. I'm not sure I did it all correctly, but I'll check the reader often to find out!

I just want to make sure I understand what I accomplished in this task:

I've opened a Google Reader account.......so now the Google Reader captures all the postings from the Web 2.0 for ESP Yahoo!Groups website... AND the course blog.... AND the course twitter....AND my own personal blog.... AS WELL AS any other websites that I may subscribe to in the future. Right? In other words, I don't have to open up these websites separately from now on. Is that correct?

Whoops! I better get back to my class planning!

The Very First

I once told my university professsor that I would never use blogs in my English classes. And that was only 9 months ago!

But you know, I get "it" now. It took a while to change my antiquated ways. I've been on an incredible learning adventure for the last year and a half thanks to TESOL. I've completed my TESOL online teaching certificate and now I'm taking these TESOL EVO courses. I've gone from knowing absolutely nothing about web-based technology to knowing, well, a lot more.

I don't resist technology anymore, I welcome it. I'm not afraid to try new things now. My computer is not going to explode if I download a software program. Ever hear of the expression, "a teacher's toolbox?" Well, blogs, podcasts, wikis, webpages, interactive software, virtual classrooms, etc., provide a Home Depot's worth of teaching & learning tools for teachers. Wow! It's a never ending learning journey, and quite frankly, I hope the trip never ends.
